Note: No source. Editor says "A Spanish botanist asserts that the soil of the south of Spain is suitable to all the shrubs and trees that grow in the whole world". This included apparently the coffee tree, mahogany and American cedar. Also the cachimentier bearing the name axe-breaker (quiebra hacha) on account of its hardness. The Spanish botanist is not named.
