Note: In a footnote to Saint-Hilaire's article "Rapport sur la Flore d'Indre-et-Loire," Tristan reports that Scrophularia vernalis has been seen in two or three places in addition to that in Touraine, namely in St-Hilaire St-Mesmin, Archer. As it is not an indigenous plants its growth should be attributed to natural dissemination, rather than to transplantation as supposed by the authors of Flore de l'Indre-et-Loire.
