Note: Until 1810 Belle-Île was totally denuded of trees. In that year Trochu made first sowing of resinous trees on his lands and continued up until 1818. In 1817 he managed to obtain seeds of the following which were hard to come by in that area: [Pinus laricio, Pinus Weymouth, Pinus pinaster, Pinus sylvestris, Pinus sylvestris rigensis, Pinus halepensis.]
