Note: A root plant recently grown in England and called atschu has been brought from Colombia. It is also a native of Morocco and is called there, arack-atschan. The editor thinks it definitely is of Arabic origin.
NB. I can't find an anglicized form of the plant. The nearest I can get, from a Spanish dictionary, is Arachaca: an umbelliferous plant of Colombia, having an edible farinaceous root.
