Note: Pp. 82-84, Wallich's letter to John Bell, dated 30 May, 1836, in which he asks Bell to present the following at the Society's next meeting:
1) 12 papers about an interesting sort of rice from the mountains of Joomla towards the Himalaya, in Nepal, & an extract of an article by him about the rice in vol. 39 of the Trans. Roy. Soc. Arts; letters from Robert Stuart & W. Anderson about the rice.
2) A bundle of ears of Victoria wheat produced in the Botanic Garden [Calcutta], with an extract from the Plymouth Journal concerning the wheat and a memorandum on it by Hamilton; also a printed notice about the American sumach, by Hamilton, with 2 small papers containing specimens of the insects which infested the tree; a number of plants of the Caesalpina coriaria which were raised at the Bot. Gard. from seeds sent by Hamilton.
3) a bag made from the fibre of the pineapple on the Khasia Hills.
