The new clover had a flower "of white cups tipped with pink". A postscript to letter 1, notes that this clover differed from the red clover, in its stalk, having several joints. From each side in the joint put out a greater number of branches than the red clover, all of which the nob or flower, as before described. Letter 1, = pp. 529-531, letter no. 2, = 531-533. Letter 2 gives further particulars.
