Gaillon had recognised that Conferva comoïdes was not a form of plant life, but animal, and had renamed it Girodella comoïdes. p. 33.
Lebret had indicated various plants useful for a variety of reasons which had recently been imported into France, the most outstanding being Morus multicaulis. p.54.
Lebret had read a note on the Chaya-ver, Ondelondia umbellata, a plant which Gonfréville had brought back from India in the previous year. p. 54.
