Aletris frangrans, from Guinea. Cultivated in European gardens for more than a century it flowered rarely. Some botanical description. The plant was described and very well illustrated in Commelin's Hortus amstelodamsis.
Cleome gigantea, grew in Cayenne in the swamps. Seeds sent to the Museum by Aublet.
Epidendendrum bifidum, from the Antilles.
Dracena [Dracoena?] ensifia, Linn.
Diana, Silva-dea, Commerson; grew on trees in the Île de France.
