Amaryllis sarniensis, Lin. Orig. Japan. Bulbs brought back by a ship which was subsequently wrecked off Channel Islands. The bulbs were washed ashore and took root. At that time these islands supplied the rest of Europe with these plants.

Dalea purpurea. Although a native of N. America, passed the winter with difficult in open ground.
Dalea alba 2nd species. Not as tall as above.
Dalea annua 3rd species. Gives differences from above 2 species. All 3 brought back from same country by Michaux. Does not say which country.

NB. The plant reported under the name Ageratum pedatum in 1800/1801. IV(34): 1-6, was in fact, Salvia pedata, of Cavanilles.
