| Notes: | Since 1905 he collected plants with wife, Mary Strong Clemens in eastern Asia, Malay islands, Philippines, China, Indochina, and in N. Borneo where he made two tours on Mount Kinabalu. Several of the coll. plants are named for him (carrying the addition clemensii), for his wife, or for both (clementium). Dendrochilum joclemensii Ames is also named for him. Reissue of the 1936 work originally published under slightly variant title. |
