Married, Joseph Clemens, 8 Jan. 1896 in Williamsport, PA with whom she collected many plants in the Philippines, China, Indochina and N. Borneo, 1905-1918; a.o. Sciaphila clemensae Hemsl. named for her. She discovered Clemensia Merr. and Eria clemensiae Leavitt; Pittosporum clementis Merr. was also named for her, and plants with the addition clementium are named for her and her husband. |
