| Notes: | Sibthorp left an estate to Oxford University, the rents of which were to be used in the following ways; a) To the publication of a work he had prepared in 10 vols. fol.,, called "Flora Graeciae". When that was complete, £200 to b) be paid as a salary to the Sherardian professor of botany, on condition that "he reads lectures on rural economy. c) The remainder to be used for the purchase of books on agriculture for the use of the Professor.
