| Notes: | The two botanists were preparing to make an expedition to Arabia at the end of the year. They were especially interested in exploiting the borders of the Red Sea and the mountains of Sinai. They had money form the Governments of Baden & Wurtemburg, but had not sufficient. A public subscription was opened, if they then had funds in excess of their needs they inteded to continue their expedition into Syria and Abyssinia. MLP 501. |
