| Notes: | Foremost of Linnaeus's Norwegian correspondents was Bishop Johan Ernst Gunnerus, but the two never met. Linnaeus paid two visits to Norway, as a part of his Lappland journey (1732) and again, on his trip to Dalecarlia (1734). Among his Norwegian disciples, Martin Vahl is probably the best known. |
