Call Number: HI Strandell room, No. 8813
Notes: "Musaeum naturae" was announced in a large folio of 4 pages, bearing an engraving of a half page at the beginning & a smaller one at the end. It announced an ambitious work on all living and inert creation. The wording appears to have been closely copied from Linnaeus's Address on rarities among insects, as pronounced by him at a session of the Academy of Sciences. The "Musaeum naturae", which was to be richly illustrated, never progressed beyond the stage of the prospectus. “C” form in HI biography file.
