| Notes: | Although the trips around Kinnekulle occupied only 3 days, Linnaeus made a wealth of observations, chiefly botanical, but reflecting his versatile interests in all aspects of nature. While the area is noted for unusual geological formations, Linnaeus concentrated on the alum shale and therefore missed the more interesting vegetation found on sandstone and orthoceratite limestone. “C” form in HI biography file. |
