| Notes: | Signed and dated by M. Hoffman in 1737, this full length portrait of Linnaeus appears to be the portotype for H. Kingsbury's engraving of 1795, which was reproduced in R. J. Thornton's publication "A new illustration of the sexual system of Carolus von Linnaeus".
