Notes: Slide is a copy of original painting by F. G. Weitsch in 1806. Published in: Botting, Douglas; Humboldt and the Cosmos, New York, Harper & Row, 1973 (HI call# LB H919bo, p.87). This port. was considered the same as #12, but it was discovered that #12 is a copy of a lithograph (#6) that was made after the painting by Weitsch. Original slides housed in vault on 5th floor.
